Originally from Bulgaria, Koni Zachar first embarked on her skincare journey when she became a licensed esthetician in 2007, after moving from Eastern Europe to California. While living in Los Angeles, she was lucky to be a part of the esthetics team in the well respected and popular Raya Spa, adjacent to Beverly Hills, where celebrities and TV personas were frequent visitors. After six years as an esthetician in West Hollywood, in 2012, Koni moved to Long Island where she pursued esthetics independently for three more years until 2015 when she relocated to Cary with her family. More recently, she's had the honor to work at the renowned Blue Water Spa in North Raleigh, where she was extensively trained in, and performed, advanced skin treatments. In 2024, Koni decided to curate facial protocols to reflect her own style and experience and Luminae Skin Spa was born.
